Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a visitor enters a name or date of birth in a search box, the entry is sent to the outside provider that runs that tool. The provider handles the query and returns its own results. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message so we can answer it. It remains with our team unless a legal duty requires disclosure. We do not use a message to create or maintain a warrant record.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a browser loads a page, technical details about that visit may be recorded, including:
- the network address assigned to the device;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring site, when one is present; and
- the time of each page request.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files that may be stored on your device. We use them with analytics services to understand traffic patterns, such as which pages are visited and where people leave. Browser settings can block cookies. Some parts of the site may not work the same way if they are disabled.
What We Do With This Data
Information from site visits helps us keep the service available and improve it. It may be used to:
- maintain site operation and page speed;
- send a search query to the provider selected by a visitor;
- measure which pages receive attention;
- find and repair technical problems; and
- display advertisements that may reflect visitor interests.
No Warrant Data on File
King County Warrant Records does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of warrants or personal warrant case details. The pages describe where King County records may be held and how to contact the sheriff, the King County JP, or the 50th District Clerk. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes may be operated by companies outside this site. A query entered into one of them is handled under that provider’s privacy policy, not this one. The provider sets its own retention and sharing practices. Review its policy before submitting personal details; we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
King County Warrant Records links to official sheriff, court, clerk, and state pages, along with some third-party search tools. Following an outside link takes you to a different service governed by its own privacy terms. Read those terms before sending data.
Some advertising partners may track visits across websites to serve targeted ads. That activity is handled on their systems, not by this site.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Depending on how a visitor uses the site, information may be available to:
- the search provider that receives a query;
- analytics services that measure visits and performance;
- advertising networks that place ads; or
- law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect information collected through the site. Internet systems cannot be guaranteed free of risk. We work to guard data, but cannot promise that an incident or unauthorized access will never happen.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor has sent us information, we will delete it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541 is the state’s Consumer Data Protection chapter. Its scope, definitions, and exemptions determine whether a particular operator or data is covered. It does not make every private website subject to the same duties. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, concerns records held by covered government bodies, not personal-data files held by this private reference site.
Where applicable, you may send a request to ask what information we have about you, request a correction, request deletion, or opt out of certain processing. We will review the request and respond under the rules that apply.
Read the official Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541 and Government Code Chapter 552 for their scope and access rules.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy. Any revised text will appear here with a new effective date. Check this page from time to time if you want to review how site data is handled.
